Do you ever hear a little voice inside that says, "Are you sure you want to do that?" Equal to love, fear is the great motivator. When there’s an inkling that our child is veering off track, fear kicks in and we get involved. Not always best for our kids, because we're taking away chances for them to take care of themselves and their problems. We're getting in the way of their preparation for life. And it also doesn’t reduce our anxiety. Take a few moments to review when you’ve gotten involved in something that your child should have/could have handled. Just start noticing.
