Meet the Staff of Injxcellence Medical Spa by The Breslow Center for Plastic Surgery, Bergen County Moms

The team: Brianna Guttuso PA-C, M.S, Amy Natalicchio NP, Melissa Giordano RN, CANS, CPSN, Veronica Oliveros RN, CANS, Marisa Druce, Wyckoff Manager.

Last month we interviewed Gary D. Breslow, MD, FACS who is opening a second location of the Injxcellence Medical Spa at the Shoppes at Boulder Run in Wyckoff, NJ. In our sit down with him, we learned Dr. Breslow believes it is the staff that makes The Breslow Center and Injxcellence Medical Spa stand out and so successful. We took the time out to speak with the Paramus and Wyckoff Injxcellence team and we can see why Dr. Breslow feels this way!

Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Brianna: I went to school at Seton Hall University where I studied biology and went on to get my masters to become a PA-C. I originally went into dermatology where I was trained in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. I married my college sweetheart last October and welcomed our first nephew/godson this January into the world. My husband also made a career change thanks to me and now works full time in the aesthetic world as well.

Amy: I have been a nurse since 1998. I attended the University of Connecticut and earned a BS in Biology and a BA in English. I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I decided to go into nursing, so I attended a combined degree program at Pace University that offered a BS in Nursing and an MS in Family Medicine and graduated with Honors. My first job after graduate school was in Dermatology. I studied and practiced under Dr. Scott Sanders in Rockland County, NY for 6 years. I fell in love with aesthetics while working in Dermatology, so I have been injecting for 6 years. I have been married to my husband James, a Physician, for 22 years. We have two children: Diana who is a freshman and on the dance team at The Ohio State University and Dylan who is a junior at Bergen Catholic and a lacrosse player. We have a boxer named Bodie.

Veronica: I have been in aesthetics for 6 years. I’ve always had a passion for beauty & aesthetics, so I knew eventually this is where I would be. I have 2 children, an 11 year old boy and a 7 year old girl who are both amazing wrestlers. I love to work out and since 2016 have been hooked to Crossfit.

Melissa: My career in Aesthetics began in 2003 when I started working with a Plastic Surgery group that that specialized in Plastic Surgery following massive weight loss. There I worked in many capacities as a Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician, and Patient Care Coordinator. It was then that I started working towards my educational goals of becoming an RN. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Drexel University. I am currently enrolled in the Nurse Practitioner program at the same University.

Marisa: I am a NJ native with a diverse background. I started my career in fashion and beauty PR. I worked in book publishing before owning a family auto repair shop for 10 years. After selling the business I was the Practice Manager at a family’s Cosmetic Dermatology Practice in NYC. Yes, there is a big difference between auto repair and the world of Aesthetics but it was a natural move for me. It is not easy to stop working with family. Expansion and growth is always exciting, the opportunity to work with such an amazing team and be part of the build of Wyckoff I knew The Breslow Center and Injxcellence Medical Spa was the right place for me.

What made you decide to be a RN, PA or NP?

Brianna: I’ve always been interested in medicine as my dad was sick during a good portion of my childhood. Watching physicians, mid-levels, and nurses I wasn’t sure exactly as to what route of medicine I wanted to take, but during my undergrad I met a PA-C who informed me about her career and convinced me that was the path I was supposed to take.

Amy: I decided to become a nurse, because I always wanted my life to be about helping people and I love science!

Veronica: I always knew I wanted to do something in the medical field, but also loved beauty & aesthetics. After working as a bedside nurse for 5 years, I started looking into plastic surgery field, I felt this would marry my two passions. I did some research and realized there was nurses who could inject Botox & fillers and really fell in love with the idea of being able to do this. I went on my own to a private training course to get certified in Botox (something to put on my resume) and started looking into Plastic Surgeons who may be looking for an injector, the rest is history.

Melissa: I am passionate about helping people and contributing a positive difference in their lives. I spent years caring for massive weight loss patients as a Medical Assistant and Surgical Technician. Not only was it rewarding to help patients through this life changing journey and transformation, but it also solidified my career choice in becoming a Registered Nurse and elevating the level of care I could provide.

What do you find the most rewarding aspect of you "job"?

Brianna: Making people feel better about themselves. Most Americans work so hard and rarely put themselves first. It’s rewarding making people feel their best and most valuable while they are in my chair.

Amy: The most rewarding aspect of the job is when patients look in the mirror and say, “I love it!”

Veronica: There is no better feeling than making people feel better about themselves.

Melissa: I am truly fortunate to have a career to which I can combine my love of art and science. I have been with the Breslow Center for 15 years and have built long lasting relationships with my patients who have become like family to me. Helping them look and feel their best has been so rewarding.

Marisa: I love making people feel good about themselves and helping them feel safe and comfortable in an environment that can be intimidating. People often come in nervous having never done aesthetic treatments. They often don’t know what to expect and don’t want to look “overdone”. It is up to us to make them feel safe.

What do you think makes Injxcellence so special and different from any other Medical Spa?

Brianna: Our comprehensive consultation, building relationships, and formulating treatment plans based on patients desired goals.

Amy: I think what makes Injxcellence special is not only the experience of the providers and the management, but especially the fact that our team wants your experience to be extraordinary. We are committed to delivering safe, effective care and making sure you feel taken care of!

Veronica: We are extremely thorough from the moment a patient walks in our door to the moment they leave. We truly owe that to each and every one of our staff. As an injector, I find we take a comprehensive look at the face & don’t just inject “areas” that a patient maybe complaining about. We understand the science behind injectables and are able to deliver the results we do because of our comprehensive approach. We don’t just inject to inject, we do it to deliver the most optimal results in all our patients.

Melissa: Patients who come to Injxcellence can anticipate a more elevated Medical Spa experience like no other. We pride ourselves in building customized treatment plans for each of our patients and their unique needs. 3D Imaging is also an added benefit to your visit which can give us greater insight into the most impactful treatment options for you.

Marisa: I truly believe that it is our amazing team that sets us apart from other Medical Spas for many reasons. All of our providers are highly trained and experienced, they all have an artist eye and a natural aesthetic. It is also the support staff around the providers that makes us so special. We are all able to be so successful because of each other.
