Meet Dr. Andrea Tesher!
Dr. Andrea Tesher, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist at Lukin Center for Psychotherapy, specializing in the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and sees clients presenting with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, issues with body image, and general life adjustments.
Dr. Tesher has particular interest in working with young mothers and helping them navigate their new role. She facilitates Moms With Anxiety Group, a small, confidential, and supportive group that meets in Ridgewood to explore and discuss skills to cope with anxiety or stress related to being a mother and balancing all that comes our way.
Dr. Tesher is also certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional and in the treatment of Insomnia. She uses her advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor and modify treatment to meet each client’s personal needs.
Individuals and couples can work with Dr. Tesher at the Ridgewood and Englewood offices, as well as via telehealth. When not seeing clients, Dr. Tesher can be found being mom to her two boys, walking with her mini Bernedoodle, riding her indoor spin bike, or spending time with family and friends.
