Choosing the right high school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you will make for her future. During this time in her life, she will learn about herself, find her voice, and discern her unique interests and goals. This is why it is so important to choose a school that nourishes both her mind and her spirit. Immaculate Heart Academy, in the Township of Washington, New Jersey, is that place, designing its programs to meet the intellectual, spiritual, moral, emotional, social, and physical needs of the young women who make up its student body.

Students attending this college preparatory school come from nine different counties spread across New Jersey and New York. The impressive and highly accomplished young women at IHA learn in an atmosphere characterized by respect for the individual, Christian community, and a high level of family involvement. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, Immaculate Heart Academy offers its students access to the fine arts, a robust roster of extracurricular and enrichment activities, the ability to compete at the highest levels of athletic competition, and a foundation in Christian service. The sisterhood formed at IHA is incomparable, and the memories made there last a lifetime — just ask the more than eleven thousand graduates who have graced their halls.

IHA feels it is critical to have both a College Counseling Department and a Guidance Department as two separate resources available to students. During their four years at the school, each student is assigned both a college counselor and a school counselor. IHA guidance counselors advise and equip students to realize their future educational goals as they apply a developmental approach to each student’s progress; aid in both their personal and social development; and support their mental health. IHA's College Counseling Department works with students from grades 9-12. With the ever-changing landscape of college admissions, it is important to ensure students are well prepared and taking the process in stages. These efforts are highlighted by the fact that members of the Class of 2025 received more than $38 million in scholarship awards and are now attending some of the most esteemed colleges and universities in the country, including Villanova University, Georgetown University, New York University, Tulane University, University of Virginia, Boston College, and Columbia University.
