Stop Living in the Past! (A moment of humor) by Fern Weis, Parent + Family Recovery Coach, Bergen County Moms

The world we grew up in is very different from the world we live in now, especially when it comes to technology.⠀ Kids are growing up with a cell phone in hand. Here’s a little story to give you a chuckle.⠀ When I was a teacher (back around 2010), a 6th grader came into the guidance office (I happened to be there). He asked to use the phone to call home. The secretary showed him the office phone mounted on the wall and told him to put in the number.⠀ Imagine her surprise when he looked back to her, perplexed, and asked, “Where’s the send button?”⠀ This is reality now for so many of us who remember a world without the internet and cell phones.⠀ When we look back, let’s look fondly at that past, and bring ourselves back to the present and what we can do now. In. This. Moment. It's the only one we have. P.S. Learn about making the most of today and bringing out the best in your teen.
