Spring Wardrobe Essentials Part 2 by Kate Kaschenbach

This should brighten up this cold, snowy day — Spring Wardrobe Essentials Part 2!

For those of you who missed it, we did Part 1 last week which was the first 6 items I think are great additions to your Spring wardrobe. And now we’ll do the remaining 6 pieces. If you think I missed anything please post a comment on the blog or on Facebook — I love too hear your ideas!

So here we go — the remaining Spring Wardrobe Essentials

7. POINTED TOE FLATS

Rounded toe flats were all the rage for a while, but I’m happy to welcome back the more flattering pointed toe flat! Any shoe with a pointed toe elongates, and who doesn’t want that? There are so many styles and colors to choose from whether you stick with a neutral like a nude, silver or gold metallic (which will go with EVERYTHING) or something a little more bold like a leopard print or bright color — or at these prices, get two pairs! You can never have too many pairs of flats!

8. LACE

Lace tops and dresses are a great way to add some interesting detail to an outfit with little effort. I love the idea of a lace top with jeans or cut-off jean shorts because I like mixing something casual with something more dressy. And a lace dress is so versatile — where it from everything from the office to brunch to Easter Sunday!

9. A GOOD T-SHIRT

So my uniform in the Spring/Summer is basically jeans and a t-shirt. I usually keep it simple with lots of neutral color tees, but I’m looking to add some more colorful options into my wardrobe this Spring. I absolutely love the baseball tees (#1) that are in so many stores right now (the one below also comes in 2 other colors!). And there is nothing more important than a great white t-shirt.

10. A CLASSIC TRENCH

A trench coat never goes out of style. I have had mine for YEARS! During the Spring when the weather can be all over the place, you will get so much wear out of a trench. Throw it over anything and you look instantly polished. My trench is the classic tan color, however, the bright colors like hot pink and yellow are so great. Not to mention, will give your skin a little glow.

11. A PENDANT NECKLACE

These pendant necklaces are so neat and a great accessory to dress up any dress or top. Whether you like the layered look like #1, which is quite popular right now, or the single pendant, I suggest getting a color you think you can wear with a lot of tops already in your closet. They look great with most styles of tops from button down blouses, to V-neck’s to t-shirts (yes!) – this is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to look current.

12. FLORALS

Oh floral everything, how I love you. I did an entire post on florals which you can see here – but I had to also include them in as a Spring essential. From blouses, to shoes, to dresses and skirts and clutches – oh my! They are everywhere and they are gorgeous. Don’t they just make you smile?
